Hustle and Bustle of the Season

With the hustle and bustle of the season, time is precious with all of the tasks to complete on our to-do lists. There are so many important things that need to get done in a short amount of time. Planning for this holiday season can be just as daunting as planning for a wedding. There are guest lists, gift lists, meal planning, grocery shopping, gift buying and wrapping, parties to attend, friends to meet and food to eat.
It’s no wonder come Jan.2nd we can feel let down and exhausted. For some, it is an emotional hangover with so much anticipation and excitement building all during the month of December that we crash with the silence of back to work and back to school. The decorations need to be taken down, packed and stored until next year. Come the second week of January, you set new year’s resolutions you would like to initiate and better still, accomplish. Another resolution to exercise more, eat less and play more. Another resolution to make 2010 the best year yet. What will be different about this year’s resolutions from our failed attempts of years past?

I like the phrase emotional hangover! There is so much build up to Christmas and it’s over in a flash!
